I have had a desire to establish a youth soccer league in Collegedale since 2021. During my tenure on the board of the Collegedale Recreation Association, which focuses on youth softball, I gained valuable experience in overseeing youth sports leagues. This past spring, with the participation of six board members and assistance from others, Collegedale Christian Athletic Association was founded with the goal of launching a youth soccer league. With the rising popularity of soccer in the United States and the local community, the need for a youth soccer league became evident. I value this league for its emphasis on promoting good sportsmanship, fostering the physical, social, and mental development of children, and facilitating community bonding.
